Cardio & Toning Class

Come and join the fun! Great workout for the entire body with emphasis on: strengthening the heart, shaping and toning muscles, improving balance, and gaining confidence.

Build and Burn Chair

Monday and Wednesday 1:00-1:45 pm
Friday 11:00-11:45 am
This class is fun and energizing for beginners. Move to music through exercises that will increase muscular strength, range of movement, and flexibility as well as improve balance. Hand held weights, elastic tubing with handles, a small ball for resistance and a chair for seated and/or standing support is used.

Cardio Circuit

Tuesday and Thursday 9:30-10:15 am
This is a fun fitness low-impact aerobic workout to increase your cardiovascular and muscular strength. It’s a good strengthening work-out using hand-held weights, resistant bands/tubes, and balls. This class will have you moving to music through a variety of exercises designed to increase: strength, range of movement, and activity for daily living skills. Chairs are used and offered in this class with modifications to accommodate all fitness levels.

Yoga Chair Stretch

Tuesday and Thursday 10:30-11:15 am
Move your entire body through slow and controlled seated and standing poses. Restorative breathing will provide relaxation, reduce stress, lower blood pressure and improve your function. Chair support is offered.

Total Body Sculpt Class

Friday 9:00-9:45 am
This class will use body weight exercises, calisthenics, isometrics, dynamic tension, dumbbells, and bands. The purpose of this class is to burn fat while sculpting lean muscle. It will concentrate on a systematic workout to develop strength, shape and toning in the entire body. Standard cardio work will be kept to a minimum but high intensity and low impact strength training will be the primary focus of this class. All fitness levels are allowed. We will also briefly discuss some tips on proper eating (nutrition).

Heritage Gold Mine

Thursday, June 22, 2017  9:00 am – 2:00 pm
Join us on a journey to South Carolina’s second richest vein of gold at the Heritage Gold Mine in McCormick! Learn the history of the nineteenth century mining operation, tour the mines, and even pan for gold! A buffet lunch will be available for $12.95 after the tour at Hickory Knob State Resort Park. We will depart at 9:00 am and return at approximately 2:00 pm. Travel and tour cost is $10.00 and the deadline to register is June 15. Sign up now to reserve your spot! Monthly Adult Senior Programs

Harbison is offering a continuous senior program that includes arts, crafts, drawing, bingo, board games, lunch trips and parties. You will enjoy the program because it is coordinated by lovely Gina. She prepares coffee and sets up the room for participants. You’re welcome to join, no registration required. For more information, the monthly calendar is at the Front Desk area.
