Our first meeting of 2018 will be at Harbison Community Center Thursday, January 4, at 7:00 pm. We plan on having a festive New Year’s Celebration as we begin a new year of reading and shared ideas.

Our January book is Sycamore Row by John Grisham; thanks to John Bangston for volunteering to facilitate the discussion.

It’s also time to start working on our book list for 2018. We had some good suggestions for this year, but a few were difficult to find. We would prefer to select titles that are available in the public libraries so that members can borrow the books rather than having to purchase them. This year the group tried to appeal to everyone from time to time, if not every single month. As a reminder, the genres were:
Southern authors
Memoir/Biography/Autobiography
Science Fiction/Fantasy
Psychology
Literary Fiction
Mystery
Classics
Humor
And the old standby: Miscellaneous

Our book club has grown and our book choices will hopefully reflect that as well. The Round Robin meeting was a success, so it will probably be repeated in 2018.

Meetings at Harbison Community Center the first Thursday of each month at 7:00 pm. No dues. Light refreshments.
